Articles (1-2)

The Attorney General,

Having perused Law No. 23 of 2004 promulgating the Criminal Procedure Law, in particular Article No. 27 thereof,

Law No. 12 of 1972, on obligatory pricing and determining of the profits, as amended,

Law No. 19 of 2006, protecting competition and preventing monopolistic practices,

Law No. 8 of 2008, on consumer protection, as amended,

and

Pursuant to the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Commerce,

Hereby resolves as follows:

Articles

Article 1

Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Jamal Al Sayegh, Market observer IV, Department of Consumer Protection, at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce shall be vested with the powers of judicial enforcement officer to sieze and investigate offences committed in violation of the provisions of the laws referred to herein above, and the executive resolutions thereof.

Article 2

All competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall enforce this Resolution which shall come into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
