Articles (1-2)

We, Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar,

Having perused the Amended Provisional Constitution, in particular Articles 23, 27 and 34 thereof;

Decree-Law No. 9 of 1967 promulgating the Law of Public Civil Service, and the amending laws thereof;

Emiri Resolution No. 20 of 1979 increasing salaries of all civilian and military workers in the State, and the amending resolutions thereof;

Resolution No. 20 of 1967 issuing the Executive Bylaw of the Law of Public Civil Service, in particular Article 53, and the amending resolutions thereof;

Council of Ministers Resolution No. 3 of 1975 approving the nature-of-work allowance for certain jobs;

The proposal of the Minister of Civil Service Affairs and Housing; and

The draft Law submitted by the Council of Ministers;

Articles

Article 1

A new paragraph shall be added to Article 53 of the Executive Bylaw of the Law of Public Civil Service, to read as follows:

“In all cases the nature-of-work allowance stated in this Article shall be suspended during annual leave and leave without pay.”

Article 2

All competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction, shall enforce this Law which shall be retroactive with effect from 2 March 1975 and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
