The applicant for Qatari citizenship shall file an application using the approved form accompanied by following documents:

1.1.a statement indicating the length of stay in the State of Qatar and its validity;

1.2.proof of income statement;

1.3.a copy of his/her passport, identification card, birth certificate and naturalization certificate, as applicable;

1.4.a certified  original copy of a university degrees, if applicable;

1.5.a certified  original copy of his/her wedding certificate, if applicable;

1.6.certified original copies of Birth Certificates of the children of the applicant, if applicable;

1.7.four recent passport photographs each for the applicant, wife/husband and children, as applicable;

1.8.a written sworn affidavit confirming the applicant’s willingness to renounce his/her original citizenship once Qatari citizenship is awarded;

1.9.a statement of good character and reputation signed by four Qatari citizens residing in the same area as the applicant;

1.10.                    a copy of his/her criminal records sheet, if applicable;

1.11.                    proof of  payment of applicable fees; and

1.12.                    any other documents that may be required by the competent authorities.

The applicant requesting the reinstatement of Qatari citizenship shall file such an application using the approved form accompanied by the following documents:

2.1.proof of income statement;

2.2.a copy of his/her passport, identification card, birth certificate and naturalization certificate, as applicable;

2.3.a certified original copy of a university degrees, if applicable;

2.4.a certified original copy of his/her marriage certificate, if applicable;

2.5.certified original copies of Birth Certificates of the children of the applicants, if applicable;

2.6.four recent passport photographs of the applicant;

2.7.a statement of good character and reputation signed by four Qatari citizens residing in the same area as the applicant.  The statement must also include a clause attesting that indeed the applicant is of Qatari origin;

2.8.a proof of residency  in the State of Qatar for three continuous years;

2.9.a proof of payment of applicable fees; and

2.10.        any other documents that may be required by the relevant authorities.

All competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction, shall implement this law.  This law shall be enforced on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
