The Council of Ministers,
Having perused the Amended Provisional Constitution, in particular Articles 22, 33 and 34 thereof;
Law No. 9 of 1979 on documentation, as amended by Law No. 2 of 1996, in particular Article 23 thereof;
Emiri Resolution No. 29 of 1996 on the Council of Ministers’ Resolutions to be submitted to the Emir for ratification and issuance; and
The proposal of the Minister of Justice,
Hereby resolves the following:

Articles

Article 1

Denominations of authentication fees on actions stipulated in Article 23 of Law No. 9 of 1979, referred to above, shall be amended as follows:
 
The Amount of Fees Action Requested
Ten Riyals Document Authentication
Four Riyals The attestation of each signature or seal
Five Riyals Extract of an official copy of the document
Five Riyals Extract of a certificate or a summary of records or documents or their annexes
Five Riyals for each name for each year or fraction of the year Searching records and indexes to extract an official copy or a certificate or for an information summary
Five Riyals Perusal  (theoretical examination) of the document
Five hundred Riyals Document moving out of the office
Ten Riyals Verification of date
 
 
A fee of five Riyals shall be levied on each of the non-stipulated procedures in the table.

Article 2

All the competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, shall enforce this Resolution which shall come into force one month after its publication in the Official Gazette.
