End of Service of Ministers (22–25)

22 Article

The service of a Minister shall end for anyof the following reasons:

1.                 The reshuffling of the Council of Ministers in whole or in part;

2.                 Death;

3.                 Accepting the resignation of the Minister;

4.                 Removal from office.
23 Article

At the end of his service, the Minister shall receive a gratuity bonus for the entire duration of his ministerial service at the rate of twelve months’ salary for each year, provided that his term of office has been no fewer than two years, and this requirement may be waived at the Emir’s discretion.

The basic salary of the Minister shall be the basis for calculating the gratuity benefit.

In the eventof service terminating due to removal from office in accordance with Item 4 of Article 22, the bonus may be withheld, in whole or in part, in accordance with a decision of the Emir.
24 Article

At the end of his service the Minister shall receive a monthly pension equal to hisbasic salary, taking into account the following:

1.                 In the eventof death, the pension shall be paid to his beneficiaries;

2.                 In the eventof resignation, for entitlement to a pension the Minister must have spent at least two full years in office;

3.                 In the event of removal from office the pension may be withheld, in whole or in part, in accordance witha decision of the Emir.
25 Article

Where the service of the Minister was terminated and the conditions for entitlement to pension were not available according to the provisions of this Law, and he has had accrued previous service gratuity in anotherbody subject to the provisions of the Retirement and Pension Law, the Minister shall deserve a pension for that period, provided that he shall be committed to repay all due contributions, in accordance with the provisions of that Law.
