Article 7 - (Amended By Law 10 /2008) Starting Date : 08/06/2008 Notwithstanding the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, any person charged with the commission of a crime that falls within the Authority’s terms of reference shall be detained for a maximum of thirty days before being presented to the Public Prosecution.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, any person charged with the commission of a crime that falls within the Authority’s terms of reference shall be detained for a maximum of thirty days before being presented to the Public Prosecution, and the president may, where necessary, prohibit him from leaving the country for a period not exceeding thirty days, which may be extended by the order of the Attorney-General for a renewable period of six months.
