The Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of EL Salvador (hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties)
Desirous to promote further the development of friendly relations between the two countries,
And wishing to facilitate official travels of their citizens,
Have agreed as follows:
Article (1)
The following types of Passports will fall into the framework of the present agreement:
In the State of Qatar: diplomatic and special passports
In the Republic of EL Salvador: diplomatic passports
Article (2)
Citizens of either Contracting Party holding valid passports specified in Article 1, may travel (entry, exit and transit) to the territory of other Contracting Party without a visa and stay there for a period not exceeding (90) days.
Article (3)
1. Citizens of either Contracting Party holding valid passports specified in Article 1, who are appointed to the diplomatic or consular missions of that Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party and the members of their families holding valid passports specified in Article 1, may travel to that territory without a visa and stay there during the period of their assignments.
2. For this purpose, the Contracting Parties will inform each other by way of notification through diplomatic channels.
Article (4)
Excluding the provisions of Article 2, visa issuance or extension does not grant the right to work to the citizens of the Contracting Parties. Those citizens wish to enter with the aim to work, to carry out a profession and to study or for a period more than 90 days are obliged to get visas beforehand.
Article (5)
1. The Contracting Parties shall exchange specimens of their valid passports through the diplomatic channels.
2. If either Contracting Party modifies its passports, it shall transmit to the other Contracting Party specimens of its new passports 30 days before they are introduced.
Article (6)
Citizens of either Contracting Party shall enter the territory of the other Contracting Party only at frontier gates designated for international passenger traffic.
Article (7)
The Agreement shall not release citizens holding passports in Article 1, from the obligation to observe the Laws and Regulations in force on the territory on the other Contracting Party.
Article (8)
1. Either Contracting Party reserves the right to deny entry or stay in its territory to the citizens of the other Contracting Party whom are considered undesirable.
2. Either Contracting Party may temporarily suspend the application of this Agreement wholly or partially for reasons of national security, public order. Such suspension of the Agreement shall be notified immediately to the other Contracting Party through the diplomatic channel.
Article (9)
Any amendment of this agreement agreed upon by the Contracting Parties shall be made by exchange of Notes.
Article (10)
1. This Agreement shall enter into force from the date on which both parties notify the completion of their respective internal legislative process.
2. This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and shall remain in force until one of the Contracting Parties notifies in writing the other Contracting Party of its intention to terminate it through the diplomatic channel.
Done in Duplicate at Doha on /5/2009, in Spanish, Arabic and English languages all being equally authentic. In cases of difference in interpretation, the English version shall prevail.
In witness thereof, the undersigned being duly authorized their respective Governments, have signed this Agreement.
